If you have lived in Wyckoff for more than a few years, you already know the rhythm. Saturday morning at Abma's, dinner somewhere on Franklin, a Thursday concert if the weather cooperates. That rhythm did not disappear this year. One address quietly rewrote a piece of it, though, and if you have been on autopilot since spring, you probably have not caught up yet.
Here is the short version: the anchors held, one long-running favorite changed names without changing hands, and the summer concert calendar filled in around it. The rest of this post is a map of what that means for the next few weekends.
Cafe Amici served Wyckoff for 23 years at 315 Franklin Avenue. In late June 2025, the same ownership announced the space would close and reopen as something new. The restaurant's last day as Cafe Amici was June 29th, and closed the next day on June 30th to kick off the transformation. Wyckoff Tavern expected to open sometime in September, and by fall it was serving.
Same team, same address, different concept. The menu now reads tavern rather than farm-to-table Italian. The menu includes lunch, brunch, and dinner, featuring dishes like chicken dumplings, a variety of pizzas, fettuccine with fresh rock shrimp and a white wine sauce, burgers, steak and eggs, salads, and more. Brunch is served on Sundays at 10AM and also includes a few brunch drink specials like $12 mimosas and Bloody Marys. The drink menu includes eight beers on tap, specialty cocktails, signature whiskey cocktails, seasonal cocktails, and wine.

The other thing worth updating on your mental calendar is the Thursday concert habit at Blue Moon Mexican Cafe. The restaurant runs a summer concert series in the Boulder Run Shopping Center parking area on Franklin Avenue, and it has quietly become one of the reasons people who could drive into the city on a weeknight do not.
Picture this: a warm summer evening in Bergen County, a cold margarita sweating in your hand, fresh salsa and chips on the table, and the sound of live music drifting through the open air at the Boulder Run Shopping Center. That is a Thursday night at Blue Moon Mexican Cafe. From Dueling Pianos to Beatles tributes, from Trivia Wednesdays to Fiesta Hour happy hours, Blue Moon Mexican Cafe is a destination for food, fun, and live entertainment.
The Wyckoff Family YMCA runs its own parallel program. Long Road Home played the Wyckoff YMCA Band On The Sand Summer Concert Series on Friday, July 10, 2026, and the YMCA's Fearless event on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 7:30 PM filled the room earlier in the summer. Between the two venues, most weeks in July and August have live music within walking or short-driving distance of Franklin Ave.

Nothing on that list is speculative. All five have been running in some form for at least a full season.
Everyone in town knows Abma's. Fewer people track the calendar closely enough to catch the workshops, and that is where the difference between a good Saturday and a great one usually lives.
The basics first. Abma's Farm is a fourth-generation, family-run farm located on 32 scenic acres at 700 Lawlins Road in Wyckoff. The historic farm has been part of the local landscape for more than 90 years and remains Bergen County's only produce and egg farm. At its heart is a beautifully preserved Dutch-style barn, over 200 years old and one of the last of its kind in the country, now home to a bustling Farm Market. Inside, visitors will find farm-fresh produce, eggs from on-site chickens, pasture-raised beef, pork, and chicken, raw honey, homemade specialties, and daily baked goods from the farm's scratch bakery.
What is easy to miss:
The strategic tip for a resident: if you go on a Saturday, go early. If you go on a weekday, go at lunch and pick up something from the kitchen. The gourmet side of the market moves fast on quiche and salads.
Dining out in Wyckoff has always been a mixed grid of long-tenured rooms and newer arrivals. A quick honest read on the current lineup:
The Brick House, 179 Godwin Avenue. A Wyckoff NJ restaurant and event venue, a premier Bergen County steakhouse for fifty years, serving fine food under the expert supervision of chef-owner Aldo Cascio. The building dates back to 1851 and is one of Bergen County's only examples of a Federal Greek Revival farmhouse. The room does what a special-occasion room is supposed to do. If you have out-of-town family visiting, this is the answer.

La Cambusa. A full-service, BYO restaurant specializing in authentic Southern Italian cuisine. It offers an upscale yet casual dining experience with exceptional service. The restaurant has previous locations in Fair Lawn, Ridgewood, and Garfield, with a reputation for serving top-quality Italian food for over 25 years. The BYO detail matters if you are planning a group dinner and want to bring something specific.
Pizzeria Mandara. Serving authentic Southern Italian cooking and New York-style pizza, with a menu that draws inspiration from the owners' hometown of Positano, Italy. Expect fresh local produce and quality imported ingredients along with a warm, beautifully decorated atmosphere.
Farm & Flour Cafe. Newer, and worth the trip if breakfast is your indulgent meal.
T.S. Ma Chinese Cuisine, Benares. Both hold their own on the takeout and sit-down rotation for weeknights that do not need to be an event.
The point of the list is not that Wyckoff has more restaurants than it did last year. It is that the mix now has a Sunday brunch anchor at 315 Franklin, which it did not have in the same form before.
Here is the thing worth taking away. Most Bergen County towns feel like a static list of the same restaurants and the same events year after year. Wyckoff is quietly the opposite this summer. One long-standing address became something structurally different without losing its team. The concert calendar has grown around Boulder Run and the YMCA in ways that reward showing up on a random Thursday. The oldest working farm in the county still opens the barn doors six days a week and now has a South Jersey winery pouring tastings inside it.
The map you had two summers ago is not wrong. It is incomplete. If your family calendar has been running on autopilot, three small updates (Sunday brunch at Wyckoff Tavern, Thursday concerts at Blue Moon, and the workshop calendar at Abma's) are the difference between a familiar August and one that actually feels new.
